Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for users, both onsite and remote, providing initial troubleshooting and support for IT-related issues.
- Coordinate IT requests with relevant departments, ensuring timely resolutions by following up on progress and maintaining effective communication.
- Provide technical assistance through various channels, including phone, email, or in-person, swiftly resolving hardware, software, or network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain software components such as laptops, printers, mobile phones, operating systems, and applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct user training sessions on IT systems, software applications, and security protocols, while also creating and updating user documentation for easy reference.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, security patches, and backups, to enhance system security and stability.
- Respond promptly to service requests logged in the ticketing system, prioritizing and escalating issues when necessary to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Provide remote support to users in various locations, utilizing remote desktop tools and software to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Skills/Experience
- Completed IT studies with a strong theoretical foundation in computer science principles, networking, system administration, and IT support methodologies.
- Extensive experience in providing IT support within multinational environments, skilled at addressing diverse technical challenges and ensuring smooth operations across different geographical locations.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 administration and mobile device configuration, enhancing user productivity and collaboration within the organization.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (preferably Jira) and wiki/knowledge base management (preferably Confluence) to efficiently manage IT service requests and promote knowledge sharing among team members.
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English and German, enabling effective communication with users and colleagues from diverse language backgrounds.
